What is the Knowledge Vaccine Project?
KVP is a series of online radioshow-style discussions on
HIV/AIDS-related issues and research based at Dr. David
O'Connor's HIV/AIDS Vaccine Research Lab at the University
of Wisconsin-Madison, USA.
Project Goals:
- To host discussions about the challenges and realities of
HIV/AIDS-related issues and research
- To make these discussions accessible to anyone with an
internet connection
- To create a forum that will allow the community of
professionals involved in HIV/AIDS work to answer questions
for the general public and for each other
- To disseminate the best vaccine against HIV that we have
available: prevention knowledge
Discussion Format:
Discussions are broadcasted in an online radioshow-style
format. To listen to discussions live, listeners can access
our stream in iTunes. The recordings are also published to
this website for later access. Listeners may log onto Skype
during discussions to submit live questions for KVP
discussants, or submit them by email. For detailed
instructions on how to participate in discussions using
iTunes and Skype, see the "iTunes and Skype" link in the
sidebar to the left.
